Romanticize your everyday


Who knew grocery shopping could be so cool? Well, my client did. I had worked with this family before and when I say they are the coolest people I know, it's not an understatement. I got a text from this mama one day saying she had an idea for their next family session and I said "sign me up" before she even shared the idea. Because I would follow these people into a junk yard if they asked because I know they would somehow make it a vibe.


The idea was to document a totally normal grocery run, but with an editorial flare. So that's exactly what we did. This is their real local grocery store, real groceries, and a real parking lot hang out with their cart for some daylight magic. Honestly, this is one of my all time favorite sessions and I bet you can tell why. This is exactly the kind of "everyday magic" I live for. Real life, made beautiful. And it's got me thinking about all the other "boring" everyday moments that are secretly begging to be photographed. Laundry day. Closet dress up. Gardening.
