Hang on sloopy


I always arrive to a photoshoot with a portable speaker. Why? For one, I've Pavlov'd myself into needing it... I used background music for a few sessions and then after that it would feel oh so quiet without it. But also, I like having it if and when a little dance party is needed. When kids lose interest or aren't in the mood for photos, sometimes their favorite song can be the trick that brings that light back into their eyes. And other times we just use it as an activity. For this the family featured in this in-home session, music is a huge part of their lives so they suggested the idea of a dance party as an activity. We played their favorite "Hang on Sloopy" and danced around the living room. It was an absolute blast as you can probably tell!
